Angus Dee Gardner, the ninth child born to Benjamin and Annie Mae Gardner. He departed this life on June 4, 2023.
Angus accepted Christ at an early age. His hobbies were playing cards, playing checkers, fishing, traveling, wildlife shows, talking politics, dominos, listening to country music, reading, gardening, cooking and most of all spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Annie Mae Gardner; a brother, Joseph Gardner; sisters, Arrilla Butler, Birdie Gardner, Margie Gardner, Mildred Bean, and his devoted wife Daisy Gardner and his son, Benjamin Gardner II.
On July 25, 1956, He united in Holy Matrimony with Daisy Ratliff-Gardner, and from this union, he leaves six devoted children: Victor Ratliff of Corinth, MS, Linda (Lorenzo) Bolden of Champagne, IL, Sylvia (Otis) Taylor of Guyton, GA, Mary (Greg) Carter of Champagne, IL, Angus Gardner, Jr., of Urbana, IL, and Sammy Gardner (Samantha) of Cheyenne, WY. 18 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
