Annie Ruth Perkins daughter of the late Willie Dexter Perkins, Sr. and Lucille Bradley Perkins was born May 25, 1955 in Lee County. Annie graduated form Tishomingo High School in 1973. She continued her education and attended Northeast MS Community College in Booneville, MS. Annie worked for many years before moving to Decatur, AL then later on to Huntsville, AL. She work at Iuka Hospital and several retail positions as well as quick service restaurants. In 1996, she moved back to Iuka, MS to take care of her mother. She retired in September of 2020 with 18 years of service. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at Jones Chapel C.M.E Church until she moved away.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Willie J. Perkins, Prince A. Perkins, and Willie D. Perkins, Jr., three sisters: Sallie L. Perkins, Peraline Southward and Classie R. Jackson; two brother-in-laws: Truman Southard, Sr. and Andrew K. Jackson.
Annie leaves to cherish her loving memories, three brothers: Robert (Jeanette) Perkins, David (Jacqueline) Perkins, Dwight Perkins; two sisters: Bettie J. Perkins and Elnora (Darron) McCamey; two aunts: Ruby Bradley and Odell Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and special friends
