Carolyn Ann Golson Davis 72 left us on August 19, 2023, with her family by her side at her daughter's home in Holly Spring, MS. Carolyn Ann was born on January 29, 1951, in Prattville, AL to Aaron and Vera Mae Golson. She graduated from Easom High School in 1968. She attended college at Lane College for a year. She married Travis Davis, Sr. in 1982. She was the first black lady to start Ms. Black Alcorn County Pageant, here in Corinth, MS in 1991. Her hobbies were bingo, crossword puzzle, reading and praying. She loved her family and friends. She devoted her time to the Project Attention and worked with Aaron Walker. She also worked as a bookkeeper at Grayson's Funeral Home.
Carolyn is survived by her two sisters, Vadis Chapman and Helen Wyatt; her brother, Johnny Taylor; her children Aaron (Ashly) Golson, Dustin (Wayne) Jones and Domonick Thompson; Godmother's, Johnnie Keeton and Sarah Shields; stepchildren: Kirby Bonds, Felescia Hill, Phyllis Wood, Ricko Davis, Travis Davis Jr., Russian Clark and Courtney Eaton; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and God sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Vera Golson; her husband, Travis Davis, Sr.; her brothers, Richard Ghoston and Melvin Golson; a stepson Philephia Davis.
