Cassandra Demetra Jackson”, daughter of the late Andrew Kelven Jackson and Classie Ree Perkins Jackson was born August 25, 1964 in Tishomingo County.
She graduated from Iuka High School in 1982. She continued her education and attended Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi, Northeast Mississippi Community College, Booneville, Mississippi and University of North Alabama, Florence, Alabama.
She confessed Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at Jones Chapel C.M.E. Church for many years until her illness.
Cassandra’s hobbies consisted of reading, writing poems and listening to gospel music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six uncles: Willie J. Perkins, Prince A. Perkins, Willie D. Perkins, Jr.,Truman Southard Sr, John S. Jackson and Woodrow Smith: six aunts: Sallie L. Perkins, Peraline Perkins Southward, Annie Ruth Perkins, Anna Hall, Lydia Jackson and Rosa J. Masson.
Cassandra leaves to cherish her loving memories, one sister, Valerie Jackson Annang (Augustus), Cordova, Tennessee, three uncles: Robert (Jeanette) Perkins, Little Rock, Arkansas, David (Jacqueline) Perkins, Decatur, Georgia and Dwight Perkins, Iuka, Mississippi: four aunts: Bettie J. Perkins, Huntsville, Alabama and Elnora Perkins (Darron) McCamey, Hollywood, Alabama, Marion Jackson and Gloria J. Smith, both from New Orleans, Louisiana. Two great aunts: Ruby Bradley, Tupelo, Mississippi and Odell Harris, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; spiritual sister, Doris Mitchell and a host of cousins and friends.
