David Odell Mayes was born on November 28, 1961. He gain his wings on July 14, 2021. He was born to the late Marine Garner-Mayes and the late Iddo Allen. David loved music, had a voice out this world, he loved fishing, eating pigs feet, playing card, especially spades; he thought he was the worlds greatest, and socializing and mingling was one of his expertise. He attended Easom until Corinth integrated. he worked at Ledo for a few years and painted throughout the years. David was a Cowboy fan.
Leaves his memories to his one daughter, Angela Gunn; two brothers: maternal, Willie Lee Mayes and fraternal, Stanley (Mamie) Allen; two fraternal sisters, Myrdie Young and Barbara Ann (Billy) Campbell; two maternal aunts Teresa Hurd and Dorothy Richardson; one maternal uncle, Leroy Garner.
Preceding him in death is his parents Marine Mayes and Iddo Allen; maternal grandparents, Roy Garner and Mattie Faye Chambers-Garner; fraternal grandparents Pearl and Essie Allen; two maternal brothers, Tommy Wayne Mayes and T Charles Mayes; two fraternal brothers, Samuel Milton Allen and Murrell (Adelia) Allen; two maternal sisters, Shirley Mayes- Harvey and Channie Ann Mayes-Triplett; one fraternal sister Lizzie Jefferson Allen; two maternal aunts, Mattie Faye Garner-Luster and Louis Justice; one special cousin Lovonne Garner-Williams..
