God called one of His angel’s, JC Hill home on January 6, 2024. J.C Hill was born on October 24, 1950, to the late Mary Elizabeth Luster. J.C. accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of East Fifth Street Baptist Church and later moved his membership to New Covenant Baptist Church, where he was one of the founder’s of New Covenant of 20 years.
J.C was a 1970 graduate of Easom High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College. Affectionately known to many as “HONEYBOY”, he will be remembered for being that DJ for his community. He united in Holy Matrimony in 1993 to Deborah Carpenter-Hill.
J.C had several accomplishments. He served three terms on the Board of Mayor and Alderman for Ward 4 and served 25 years as Corinth-Alcorn Park and Recreation Department, where he served as Assistant Director, and held Alcorn County yearly Easter Egg hunt. JC was an advocate of the NAACP, where he served as past President, Treasurer and his two lifetime memberships with the Alcorn County branch. J.C was always willing to help his community.
Preceding J.C in death is his mother, Mary Elizabeth Luster; a sister, Beatrice Jackson; a brother, James Earl Luster and his only son, Jay C. Hill, Jr.
Leaving to cherish his memories his loving wife, Deborah Hill; a sister, Mary C. Hill; a brother, Earnest (Camille) Luster; children: Lloyd (Shelia) Patterson, Jr., Lusandra (Shawn) Burgess, and Skylar (Tamilah) Patterson; grandchildren: Antoinette, Tyler, Craig, Shawn, Jr., Jordan, Mikayah, Jayeon, Brianna, D’Terius, Sabrina, Michael Jeffrey, Jayanna, Javarion, Jakayla; two great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
