James Edward Kirk

James Edward Kirk was born on July 9, 1939, in Ramer Tennessee to the late Samuel and Mary Luster Kirk. He departed this life on April 25, 2023.

James graduated from the Old McNairy County High School in 1959. Shortly, after graduation he moved to Chicago, IL, and worked as a chef. Upon retiring, he moved to Park Forest, IL where he lived until moving back to Tennessee.

Preceding him in death his parents, Samuel and Mary Luster Kirk; four brothers: Lawrence Clay, Leonard Kirk, Bill Kirk, and Joe Kirk; three sisters: Betty Kirk Robertson, Shirley Kirk Ford, and Flora Kirk.

He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Reginald Fleming; his wife, Suretta Kirk; two granddaughters, Ebony and Preier; a great granddaughter, Mari; a brother, Percy Kirk; sisters: Ola Chambers, Bertha Williams, Sandra Dilworth, Darlene Kirk and Janet Kirk, and a host of other relatives and friends.
