James Jerome Leslie aka (Bond) was a son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. James graduated from Thrasher High School in 1984. During this time he was force be reckoned with on the Rebels basketball team, in which basketball remained a favorite pastime along with frequent visits to the flea-market. James enjoyed helping his grandfather (Mr. Liege) on the farm as we fishing. He loved his children and was head over heels about his grandchildren as well as his family, friends and co-workers at Corinthian Furniture, where he was a forklift operator.
James transitioned from this life on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS.
Preceding James in death are his paternal grandparents: Liege and Catherin Chambers, Maternal grandparents Doug and Marie Hastings-Leslie; one brother, Jerramie Farran Chambers; one son, Emmanuel Ray Leslie; three aunts: Marjorie Heavens, Bobby Chambers and Ruby (Henry) Hurd; two uncles, James Bell and John Chambers.
Jame leaves to cherished his memories to his parents: James and Virgie Leslie Chambers; two son: Brandon (Jennifer) Leslie of Booneville, MS; Kristopher Leslie of Corinth, MS; four brothers: Bobby Chambers, of Corinth, MS, Gregory (Dianna) Chambers, Marcus Chambers, Tommy Chambers all of Rienzi, MS; three sisters: Tina Leslie of Corinth, MS, Casandra (Fredrick) Harvell of Rienzi, MS and Tracy (Eric) Treadwell of Ohio; six grandchildren and one great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and he was an angelic bodyguard to Nita Sally.
