Although tomorrow is never promised, the future is what we seek. The future of Karen Elizabeth Walker-Braxton has ended on earth, but live eternally for God to help her complete her journey. Karen was a loving daughter, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a wife not only to her family, but also to her friends. Karen Walker was born in Corinth, MS on October 17, 1977 to Mansel Hubbard and Gary Hill. Karen departed this life on March 20, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. She attended Corinth High School and attended City Road Temple CME. Karen former employee of a nursing home in Ashland, MS
Karen was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Sylvester Fernando, Sr., and to this union six children were born. She later united in Holy Matrimony to the late George Braxton
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Mary Hill, Clyde Boyd, Wavane Dilworth, Charlie Will Walker, and her late husband George Braxton.
Karen leaves wonderful loving memories to her parents: mother, Mansel Hubbard and father, Gary Hill; three daughters: Yasmine Walker, Ahnatiyah Fernando, and Ashanta Fernando; three son: Montrel Fernando, Quantavis Fernando, and Sylvester Fernando, Jr. all of Corinth, MS; four brother: Bacarra (India) Hill, Julius Gilmore, Jason Walker, and Antonio Bean; four sister: Jalessa Walker, Nemiah Hill, Shameka (Ron) Harris, all of Corinth and Funta Shumpert of Booneville, MS; eight grandchildren and a host of aunt and uncles, nieces, nephews cousin and friends.
