Leroy (Sr.) Heavens

Leroy was born January 26, 1942, to the late Jimmie Lee Heavens and Hettie Mae McGee. Leroy accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Wick Anderson School. He loved playing dominos, fishing, hunting, grilling, and casinos. Leroy was one of the best concrete finisher around.

Leroy united in Holy Matrimony on January 28, 1967, to the late Marjorie Heavens and to this union seven children were born.

Preceding Leroy in death is his parents: Jimmie Lee Heavens and Hettie Mae McGee; his loving wife, Marjorie Heavens; one brother, Ozee Lee Heavens; one sister, Minnie Heavens, one grandchild, Derrick Leslie, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, four son: Derrick Leslie of Jumpertown, MS, Leroy Heavens, Jr., Brad (Monica) Heavens of Rienzi, MS, and Jackie Heavens of Corinth, MS; four daughters: Paulaette Leslie of Booneville, MS, Leslie Heavens of Rienzi, MS, Cassie Heavens of Corinth, MS, and Casper Hines of Houston, TX; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Earnest Heavens; two sister: Rosie Lee Sorrell and Lueberta Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
