Lizzie Finch Obituary

Lizzie Mae Alexander Finch was born on June 9, 1950, in Corinth, Mississippi, to the late Ben and Iwillie Alexander. On May 8, 2026, she peacefully transitioned from this life at her home in Corinth, Mississippi, surrounded by the love of her family:

Lizzie was a faithful and devoted lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served with dedication and love until her health began to decline. She was known for her kind spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family and community. Her presence touched many lives, and her legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, Ohio, with the Class of 1968. She later attended Odessa College in Odessa, Texas, where she pursued computer courses.

Liz enjoyed singing, dancing, cooking, and spending cherished moments with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially loved supporting them by attending their extracurricular activities and celebrating their accomplishments.

As Liz's health began to decline, her loving daughter, LaShanya, devoted herself wholeheartedly to her mother's care. With compassion and dedication, she faithfully served as her caregiver, ensuring that all of her needs were met with love and dignity.

Left to honor and cherish the loving memories of Liz are her four lovely daughters:
Melissa (Ricky) Robinson, Michelle (Creg) Taylor, Felicia Finch, and LaShanya Latrice Finch; one brother, Orlando (Pam) Alexander; three sisters, Doris (James) Dotson, Jean Williams, and Mary Archer; and one sister-in-law, Denice Alexander.

She also leaves to treasure her memory seven beloved grandchildren: Shenae Robinson, Aerial Stallings, Tazariun Finch, Janik Stallings, I-Dalis Gaines, Jarnell Miller, and D'Kyndric Gaines; along with seven precious great-grandchildren:
King White, Aarick Robinson, Kentvious Hubbard, Kamerion Rutherford, Kendallynn Hubbard, Treston Finch, and Alaysia Jennings Duff.
