Margaret Faye (Irons) McGaha

Margaret was born to the late Stella “Honey Mary” Swinney and the late R.L. Burns on January 22, 1957. God call Margaret home on February 25, 2024, while at Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center in Booneville, MS.

Margaret joined Saulters Chapel C.M.E Church in Michie, TN. She later joined East Fifth St. Baptist Church in Corinth, MS.

Throughout life she enjoyed cooking and many of us loved and benefited from her blessed hands. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, listening to music and spending time with her family. Margaret had a heart of gold. She not only fed many, but she opened her home to many. She was a blessing and touched countless people. Her generosity and sweetness have forever left an impact on those she touched.

Preceding Margaret in death a son, Harry Chappell; mother Stella Irons-Swinney; father R.L. Burns; grandparents Roosevelt and Pearl Irons and Otha and Bettie Lou Burns; a brother Roy Burns.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son Billy (Sherri) Chappell of Ramer, TN; two daughters Jessica Chappell and April (Geno) Harris both of Corinth, MS; a stepdaughter Latoshia (Ricky) Phinnessee of Shiloh, TN; a good friend Douglas Watson, Jr. of Corinth, MS; a brother Christopher Davis of Ramer, TN; a sister Ramona  Davis of Murfreesboro, TN; nine grandchildren: Laquisha and Naquisha Chappell, Joslyn Chappell, Jeremiah Sonnenbaum, Naomi Chappell, Giovanni Pillow, Billy Chappell, III, Ge’Angelo Pillow, and Geno Pillow; three great grandchildren: Aubree Calloway, Khelani Gray, and Calvin Dockens, Jr.;  a host of other relatives and friends.
