Margaret (Carpenter) McGee

Mrs. Margaret was born July 15, 1934 in Booneville, MS. to the late Ezell Carpenter and Millie Ella Avant; she was the first born of thirteen siblings. Margaret  worked deligently until retirement from Booneville Hospital (Baptist Memorial Hospital).

She married the love of her life Sam McGee for 52 years. Together the loved and supported nine children: Five daughters: Phyllis (Donald) Petty of Murfreesboro, TN, Billie Starks and Dorothy Penrose both of Baldwyn, MS, Denise Ewing of Booneville, MS, Bridgett Southward of Jackson, MS, Three sons: Robert L Hendrix of Orlando, FL, Michael Hendrix of Rocky Spring, WY and Sanny (Pamela) McGee of Booneville, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ezell Carpenter Jr., and two sisters LuStella Keith and Mary Payton, one son Charles E Hendrix.

She was a resident of Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation facility of Boonesville for the last three years where she impacted the lives of many.

Margaret relied heavily upon her devout relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ. Regardless of her health challenges her heartwarming smile and infallible faith triumphed until her sweet departure.
