Martha Jean (Jackson) Jones

Martha Jean Jones (Maw Maw) departed her earthly home, September 3, 2020 to enter her eternal resting place. Martha Jean Jones was born August 25, 1932 to Rose Jackson and John Crump who preceded her in death.

One summer morning while walking her youngest sister, Marie to the corner store for an ice cream cone, she met her future husband, Rev. Sam Jones Sr. Who she referred to as "the love of her life". After a brief courtship  he asked for her hand in marriage and to this union 9 children were born.

Preceded in death by: two of her children, Stanley Ray Jones Sr., and Thelma Jean Jones siblings, Ellie Jackson, Robert "Tee" Jackson, Jody, Anne, Pearlie, Mildred and Shirley, April Palmer, aunt Alice Faye Cobb,

She is survived by her children, Brenda Jones, Samie Jones-Brown, TJ Jones, Marvin Jones, John "Live" Jones, Sam Jones Jr., and Verenesia "Nene" Jones  all of Oklahoma City, OK. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, and a Sister Marie Hill of Baldwyn, MS
