Mary Louise Bennett was born to the late Elnora and Ben Williams of Leighton, AL on May 1,1930. She confessed Christ at an early age at M Pleasant M.B. Church of Leighton, AL. She departed this life March 29, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones at the Tishomingo Living Center, Iuka, MS.
At an early age she married Raymond H. Bennett Sr., and joined St. Peters M.B. Church, where she was the pianist for several years. She also was a pianist for Carter's Branch M.B. Church, luka First Baptist, luka Methodist Church and many other churches in Mississippi and Alabama. She was very creative in woodwork, farming, gardening and had a strong passion for all types of music, especially gospel music, and a deep and sincere purpose for caring and loving others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elnora and Ben Williams; one son, Raymond Bennett Jr.; two grandsons, Patra Robinson, Skylar Bennett; one daughter-in-law, Debra Bennett; two son-in-laws, Rufus Jackson, Jimmy Spears; eight siblings, Minnie Pearl King, Annie Jones, Lyda Mae Coffey, Nellie Mae Hawkins, Hattie Mae Bates, Leonard Tukwiley, Ben Williams Jr., Charlie Williams; and a special cousin Luther (Rooster) Jarmin.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Wanda Fay Brown (Benjamin) of Tishomingo, MS; Arnetta Spears of Corinth, MS; Thresa E Bennett of Tishomingo, MS; Carletha E. Bennett of Town Creek, AL. Three sons, Herbert Lee Bennett (Francine) of luka, MS; Hathaway Bennett of Tishomingo, MS, and Terry Ray Bennett (Melissa) of Tishomingo, MS.
Twenty Grandchildren, thirty-nine Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves to cherish a special friend and caregiver, James Martin.
