Mary Prather was born July 28, 1941 Mary have fought a good fight, she has finished the race, she have keep the faith. Now there is in store for Mary the crown of righteousness. Mary gained her wings on July 20, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Hubert and Bessie White-Dilworth.
Mary was a Kossuth, MS native, she attended Gwyn School in Kossuth. She was a member of Biggersville Pentecostal Church and her world was centered around church and reading her bible. She read Psalm 51 daily. She loved visiting the nursing homes, missionary work, flowers, cooking, shopping, spending time with her grandchildren. Our mom was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she always put herself last. She was an exceptional and loving caregiver and nannie. She was affectionately called “Dee Dee” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary united in Holy Matrimony to Arthur Prather on May 26, 1962 and were married for 45 years, to this union five children were born.
She leave her loving memories to her five children: Audrey Dyer of Memphis, TN, Penny Jones of Huntsville, AL, Andrette (Rick) Epison of Owensboro, KY, Angel Turner and Phillip (Belinda) Prather both of Corinth, MS; Grandchildren: Meredith Woods, Evansville, IN, Jimmy Turner and Malik Prather both of Corinth, MS, Isaiah Howze of San Diego, CA, and Joseph Prather of Fort Benings, GA; four great grandchildren: Gabrielle, Gabriel, Micah, and Maliyah; two God children: Ashley Porter and Vonda Vance; three siblings: Rosie Williamson, Yvonne Garrett both of Huntsville, AL, Minnie Gwyne of Corinth, MS; one brother-in-law, James Prather of Jackson, TN; a special affectionate child, Mary Nancy Pittman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mary in death, her parents, Hubert and Bessie White-Dilworth; one half sister, Mattie Green.
